Stay Safe & Drive Smart This Winter! ❄

It was our pleasure to have a roundtable meeting with the Hon. Tim Uppal Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and MP Jasraj Hallan in Caledon, Ontario. Industry issues were discussed including: concerns over the rising costs of doing business, carbon tax, cargo theft and the need for training supports. We look forward to continuing discussions with all levels of government and political parties.

Ontario Ministry of Transportation

We recently met with Ontario Ministry of Transportation staff to follow up on specific issues.

We discussed DriveON, the new program for Conditional Safety Ratings and Volunteer audits. The Ministry is gathering feedback to identify areas for improvement and determine if the program should be made permanent. Consultations will be held to gather input before any final decisions are made. We also asked the MInistry to grant CTOA the ability to administer LCV permits. The Ministry anticipates having more information to share by the end of October, and we will provide an update at that time.
